Dance
Parkway’s dance ministry was birthed in 2002, when God laid a vision on Pastor Moe
and 3 ladies who did not even know each other. That vision was to use dance as a
way to take our worship to a new level. It now consists of over 30 dancers, male
and female, age 8 and up. We minister through ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, mime,
flags, billow cloths, scarves, tambourines and ribbons.
Our team motto is “Dancing in the Anointing of Spirit and Truth.” This is carried
through not only worshipping together, but through studying the Bible together and
praying together. The team meets every Thursday night. Our team features a frontline
group that participates in praise and worship every Sunday morning on a rotating
basis. The team ministers through dance specials during worship services once or
twice per month.
We have also had the amazing opportunity of working with The Messiah Dance Company,
Answering The Call, A Messianic Jewish Dance group from the Ukraine, Brandon Hood
and Michelle Jennings, 2 anointed dancers from Richmond, and Mount Vernon Holy Praise
Mime Ministry.
Our team has also been called to minister at other churches in the area, as well
as guide other churches in creating their own dance ministries. Some members of
our team have had the amazing opportunity to carry this gift from God to Romania
and to the Czech Republic, dancing in church services, as well as using dance as
a ministry tool to reach the people of these countries.
